Some see "Old media" as the old fashioned way of communications and/or technology,that has limited access to what could be done, where and how it can be done. On the other hand, New media "Mass Media" or "Mass Communication"; new and advanced technology allows us to go further when compared to about 30-50 years ago... i know the computer already exist by that time but there was nothing like the ipod, and all other mini techs that does a lot now-a-days. Well, so far, there's no specific definition for new media and as of this moment there is no end to it because we do not know what technology will bring 10-20 years from now or even tomorrow
